Inside our Apartment

The apartment comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious open lounge combined with a kitchen and dining area. Two balconies provide scenic views of the beautiful resort.

Situated in the third block from the sea on the second floor, the apartment offers a vantage point overlooking the pool.

The primary bedroom features an en-suite shower, while two twin rooms share the main shower-room. Ample storage space is available throughout the apartment along with Air Conditioning in all rooms.

Views from the Apartment

Situated just 100 metres from the sea and conveniently positioned across from the pool and slides, this location offers captivating views throughout the day, allowing you to observe all the activities. The primary balcony serves as an ideal spot to enjoy a front-row seat for the sunset over the mountains. Especially with a refreshing beverage in hand!

What is the rental price for Phillips Thalassa Apartment?

The rental rate is subject to change, particularly in peak season, owing to additional expenses for electricity and water. The current weekly charges are:

January to March (Average 17 degrees) - £400
April to June (Average 26 degrees) - £550
July to September (Average 32 degrees) - £600
October to December (Average 22 degrees) - £450

To secure any booking, a small deposit of £100 is required. In the event of a cancellation, we will refund the deposit if we successfully re-let the property for the specified period.

How do I book the Phillips Thalassa Apartment?

Where exactly is Thalassa?

What is included in the apartment?

The rental cost covers all amenities within the apartment, including WIFI, electricity, water and the use of the air conditioning.

There is a washing machine and dishwasher in the apartment which are for your use and we will always try to keep the basic essentials stocked (toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, soap etc) but we kindly request that if you use any of these items, please replace them.

All bed linen, bath towels and beach towels are included and extra beach towels can also be rented from the Pool Towel Hut during peak seasons for a small deposit.

Is there a security deposit?

Not at the moment, and hopefully not in the foreseeable future as we are only renting to people we know or our family and friends. Please remember, this is our home away from home, so we kindly request that you treat it with the same care as you would your own home. If anything gets damaged or broken, please inform us promptly.

How do I get to Thalassa Spa and Beach Resort

There are quite a few Airlines that fly into Southern Cyprus (Larnaca), in the main we tend to use flight comparison sites. On average it is around £100 - £150pp return during the winter months. A summer flight can vary from £250 - £500pp. However we have travelled for under £50pp in the winter and £200 in summer (on the rare occasion). Once at Larnaca Airport, we can arrange for a taxi to pick you up and deliver you to resort. This takes around 1 hr 15 mins and the cost is around £120 return.

What can I do at Thalassa Beach Resort?

The whole idea of Thalassa is rest and relaxation, the resort is out of the way, very safe and very tranquil. Available to all is the large pool and water slides, and don't forget our own private beach, with water sports. For adults and older children there is the Spa with an extensive treatment list, an indoor pool with Sauna and Steam Room and Tennis Courts plus the new updated Gym. There are also plenty of things for younger kids to do, including separate covered areas in the main pool for toddlers and both indoor and outdoor play areas.

We have a superb, friendly, modern restaurant on site, with plenty of events for adults and children. A separate pool bar serving drinks and snacks during the day and a sunset bar at the end of the jetty, open in the evening. The pool bar and sunset bar, are usually only open during the summer months.

How do I get out and about?

Having a car is pretty much essential as we are a 10 minute drive from the main towns. In Northern Cyprus, they drive on the same side of the road as we do and the cars available are in good condition, relatively new, and reasonably priced. Fuel is also comparably inexpensive compared to the UK

Typically, we pay between £15 - £30 per day, depending on the size of car and the time of year.

We can facilitate the delivery of a car to our private underground parking space and the paperwork is completed in the apartment.

Northern Cyprus has a lot to offer, and you'll find plenty of leaflets and books in the apartment detailing nearby attractions. We're always happy to provide suggestions on places to visit, restaurants, and noteworthy sights.

What currency do they use?

Northern Cyprus use the Turkish Lira. However, when purchasing most things, other than food and drink, they are happy to accept Euros and Sterling. In fact taking a bit of cash is advisable, as the exchange rates can vary wildly, to what you might receive in the UK. Our best advice is to have something like a Revolut card and pay in the local currency as much as possible.

Where are the nearest shops?

There is a small supermarket on site which is generally open from 9am - 6pm. It has the basics including bread, milk, drinks and water etc along with a small selection of fruit and vegetables, tinned goods and cleaning products.

However if you want a proper supermarket with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables then you need a car. There are a couple of medium sized supermarkets around 10 minutes drive away and a larger supermarket (Senmar), which is around a 15 minute drive.

Best places to eat out?

There are so many different restaurants within a 40 minute drive. Famagusta itself is bustling with various different cuisines. The restaurants we tend to use are below:
